Barra, Mozambique
The small Mozambican resort town of Barra is situated approximately 500km North of Maputo, close to Inhambane and Praia do Tofo. Barra is situated between the Inhambane Estuary and the Indian Ocean which means that there are numerous secluded beaches and safe swimming spots along the coast line. The nearby reef is home to many species of under-water life and provides an excellent opportunity to diving and snorkeling.
Barra is a relaxed holiday destination where fishermen, divers and surfers can enjoy the local beaches and other visitors can sit back and relax in the shade of a palm tree. Shopping and sight-seeing is also possible in the nearby town of Inhambane where there are many cafes and restaurants.
